Joseph Stephens is a multi-instrumentalist composer and songwriter known for his eclectic scores and lyrical melodies. He’s the creative force behind music for HBO/Max series The Righteous Gemstones, Vice Principals, The Sex Lives of College Girls and Eastbound and Down, as well as Netflix’s Never Have I Ever, and Amazon’s Upload. His film work includes Observe and Report (Warner Bros), Family Squares (Screen Media), and A House on the Bayou (Blumhouse).

As a songwriter, he’s credited with the viral hit “Misbehavin’” from The Righteous Gemstones and has contributed original songs for films such as Halloween, Halloween Ends, and the Paramount+ series Happy Face. Blending modern technology with live performance, Stephens creates dynamic soundscapes rooted in experimentation.
